ADD/ADHD Drugs That Help Improve Concentration?

I’ve heard some people talk about how they’ve taken medication intended for someone with ADD and that it’s helped them stay focused and have better concentration. Does anyone know what any of these drugs are called? I would like to talk to my doctor about it.

Thanks

Additionally after looking at some of the answers I’m getting…I’m in graduate school, not a child and I do take fish oil everyday regliously, 4000mg worth (it’s for other purposes as well)

I don’t think drugs are the best course of action WHEN a physician subscribes them.

Drugs almost ALWAYS lead to more drugs and dependence. Excuse my strong personal reaction, but I’ve seen the quality of life for more people RUINED by physicians than truly helped – we accept it as a normal part of growing old, and in many cases it is not. Wrong living leads to toxicity, which leads to a trip to the physician who only ADDS to your toxicity. And the solution to dealing with all that toxicity? More drugs.

So am I going to encourage someone who has NOT been prescribed drugs to use them in some quest for an artificially enhanced crack as focus and concentration? No way. You’re looking in the wrong direction for a quick fix that is highly likely to cause problems for you, unforeseen.

    Please – don’t.
