Ways to improve concentration?

I always have good concentration at the start of tests (SATs, ACT) but it progressively gets worse as tests go on. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve concentration?

Thanks in advance.

get enough sleep, eat natural low fatty foods that give energy, and its not very good, but actually caffine somtimes works

To me this sounds like a mental stamina issue.

I agree with the previous post on getting enough sleep, and eating a good diet.

I strongly disagree on using caffeine. In fact, caffeine consumption is the first thing I would like at.

First, I’m not a physician and I’m not intending my opinion to be confused with medical advice.

But my guess is that you stay up too late studying, then use caffeine as a stimulant. When that happens, then you’ll start fast but loose steam. It simply sounds like you’ve become mentally tired.

This mental tiring is caused by a depletion of minerals. When you’re tired, your body isn’t producing what you need. And when you amp up on caffeine, this overstimulates your adrenal glands and your body has to work to counteract that.

I often recommend the Laser Focus program by Holothink – although I don’t think that focus and concentration is the real issue – it’s depletion. Since people who listen to beta-brainwave-stimulants can also become depleted, causing mental fatigue, Holothink offers a bonus program with Laser Focus that does a great job of “resetting” your mineral levels to avoid fatigue.

Bottom line: get more sleep (cram less, better to go to bed early, cram right before test), limit caffeine intake (or eliminate) and try the Laser Focus program if you’re inclined.
